Dr. D Y Patil School of Engg & Technology in association with Ajeenkya D Y Patil University, Lohegaon, Pune established the “Ajeenkya Chatrachaya ” inspired by thoughts & work of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam for helping financially hard-pressed kids. The main purpose of “Ajeenkya Chatrachaya” is to support orphan kids by providing educational equipment’s, kit etc.
On 26th Jan 2016 “Ajeenkya Chatrachaya” group visited Zilha Parishad Primary School, Harantalewasti, Lohegaon, Pune.In Zilha Parishad Primary School, the 80% students are the orphan kids whereas remaining students are from the Below poverty line families.
